When uploading and downloading data online, there are many things that play a factor in how quickly you will be able to do this, such as computer speed, hard drive speeds and connections used. We’ve created this Data Transfer Calcualtor to help you work out just how long it will take to transfer that data whether you’re uploading or downloading data. Here in the UK domestic download speeds are usually around 5 – 10 times greater than upload speeds, with the average upload speed being somewhere between 15mbps and 150mbps. Commercial connections are often as much as 1000mbps upload and download. The calcualtor is designed to give an approximate time and can not always be 100% accurate.
